There is Much to be Done

The 2015 earthquake in Nepal killed more than 8,800, devastating the entire country. Among all the destruction, though, many people immediately began rebuilding their lives.

Everyone was completely taken by surprise by the earthquake in Nepal. Many thousands of people were terrified to sleep indoors for fear of another large quake. When homes are largely build of locally-made bricks and wood, they become especially dangerous when there is larger-than-usual risk of collapse. I saw many homes, especially in rural areas, missing entire walls or having collapsed entirely. However, some of the victims wasted no time beginning to rebuild. In the midst of all the fear, I wanted to communicate to people everywhere the hope of lives already being rebuilt.
